Douglas M. Hatfield

Services for Douglas McArthur Hatfield, 68, of Willoughby, will be 1 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Hatfield passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at Lake West Medical Center.

Born August 20, 1943 in Iaeger, WV, he was a longtime Lake County resident, having lived in Willoughby for the past 20 years.

He was an avid collector of die-cast metal cars and guns. 

Mr. Hatfield was an over-the-road truck driver for many years.

Survivors are his siblings, Jack (Mary Ruth) Hatfield of Iaeger, WV, Juanita Jane Lefler of Orrville and John (Dorothy) Osborne of Bon Aqua, TN.  He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

His parents, Andrew Toler and Elizabeth Josephine (Bowles) Hatfield and 12 brothers and sisters are deceased.  His longtime companion, Marie Halsey, passed away in 2003. 

Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.  The Rev. Donald R. Perks of Willoughby United Methodist Church will officiate at the service.  Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
