A. Pauline Hoover

Services for A. Pauline Hoover, 95, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Hoover passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her home in Mentor.

Born September 22, 1922 in Williamsport, PA, she has lived in Mentor for the past
25 years.

She was an active member of Mentor United Methodist Church; the former Mentor Women’s Club, Red Hat Society and was a volunteer for Lake Health System for many years.

Mrs. Hoover was employed as a secretary with Indiana Area School District in Pennsylvania before her retirement.

Survivors are her children, Mark (Pam) Hoover and Leslie (Michael) Williams; grandchildren, Kaiti, Ryan, Halle, Peter, Melissa and Matt. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie R. Hoover in 1977 and her infant daughter in 1954. Her parents, Mitchell and Lettie (Knepp) Houser and brothers, Max and Robert Houser are also deceased.

Final resting place will in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Conemaugh Township, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Mentor United Methodist Church.
