Albin Gajowski

May 17, 1941 — July 17, 2024

A Celebration of Life for Albin “Al” Gajowski, Jr., of Willoughby, will be at 12 PM Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Body of Christ Community, 38057 Erie Road, Willoughby.


The family will receive guests from 11 AM- 12 PM, prior to the service.


Al passed away on July 17, 2024 at Mentor Ridge Health and Rehabiliatiion Center in Mentor.


Born May 17, 1941 in Cleveland, Al has been a resident of Willoughby for the last 31 years.


He was a U.S Air Force Veteran and worked as a letter carrier for the USPS for 35 years.


He was an avid bowler at Wickliffe Lanes and was very proud of the 300 game he bowled in 1998. He played in bocce leagues at the Wickliffe Italian- American Club and was a huge fan of Cleveland sports, especially the Browns and Indians. He also enjoyed college football and basketball.


Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Geraldine “Gerry” (Jasin) Gajowski; his children, Kristen Kaleal and Brian Gajowski; granddaughters, Marissa and Jenna Gajowski; sister, Kathleen (Rick) Kreps; sister-in-law, Roberta Gajowski; brother-in-law, Alex Gergely; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Albin Sr. and Helen (Yurek) Gajowski; siblings Rosemary (Ed) Vasko, Frank, and James; and sister-in-law, Carol Gergely.


Private interment will take place at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
