Alfred Pischel, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday night, February 2, 2026.
Alfred was born in Zeitz, Germany, to Oswald and Hedwig Pischel. In 1959, he immigrated to the United States in search of opportunity and a better future. While living in Cleveland, Ohio, he met the love of his life, Helen Young, and they were married in January 1961.
Through his dedication, integrity, and unwavering work ethic, Alfred built a long and successful career. In 1976, he founded Alpha Tool & Mold, a company that reflected his values and commitment to excellence. Both professionally and personally, Alfred built lasting relationships and left a positive impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beyond his work, Alfred had a deep appreciation for life and the world around him. He loved nature, skiing, and ballroom dancing—passions that brought him joy and connection throughout his life. Above all, Alfred was deeply loved by many. He was known for his warmth, loyalty, and the quiet strength with which he supported his family, friends, and community.
Alfred Pischel’s presence left a lasting impression, and his absence will be deeply felt. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the business he built, and the many memories shared by those who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Funeral service 10:00 AM Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Willoughby Memorial Gardens at 11:15 AM.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Mulligan’s Tavern in Highland Heights.
