Funeral services for Alfred “Lee” Tibbs, 92, of Eastlake, will be at 1 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday and 11 AM-1 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Al passed away December 10, 2023 at his home. He was born December 7, 1931 in Campton, Kentucky.
He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea. Al retired from General Motors after 39 years and spent his retirement years repairing lawn mowers. He was a longtime member of Lakeland Baptist Temple.
Survivors include his children, June (Tony) Culotta, Gary (Sandy) Stumpf, Jim Stumpf, Pam (Allen) Hotz, D. Lynne Moore, Tommie (John) Spikes, and daughter-in-law, Sharon Tibbs; grandchildren, Kelley (Miguel) Mancha, Glenn (Christi) O’Brien, T.J. O’Brien, Becky (Matt) Bollas, Erin (Jonathan) Stubblefield, Meredith (Colin) Johnson, Cassidy Spikes, Joe Evans, Andrea (Eric) Milner, Steve (Christine) Stumpf, and Jonathan (Michelle) Stumpf; great-grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Glen Lee and many others; siblings, Richard (Janet) Tibbs, Bobby Tibbs, and Anne Moon. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Charlotte (McNickle) Tibbs and Shirley A. (Young) Tibbs and son, Alfred Tibbs Jr. His parents, John and Mary (Taulbee) Tibbs and 10 siblings are also deceased.
Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp.
Family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
