Alice Fern Durst

Mass of Christian Burial for Alice F. (Finnerty) Durst, 85, of Kirtland, will be at 10 AM Friday, September 2, 2022 at Divine Word Catholic Church 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland. Please meet at the church.
Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Alice passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 in Mentor. Born December 7, 1936 in Cleveland, she lived in Kirtland for over 60 years.
Alice retired from Western Reserve Nursing Home where she worked as a dietary aide for more than 40 years.
She enjoyed reading, books and magazines, watching old movies especially westerns and martial arts movies. She loved dancing and won a few trophies competing with her brother, Bud.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Tina) Durst, David (Terri) Durst, Charles (Mary) Durst, and Donald (Nicole) Durst. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her brothers, Brian (Deanna) Finnerty, Kevin (Lois) Finnerty, and Fran (Madeline) Finnerty and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Durst in 2006 and grandson, Eric Durst in 1990. Her brother, Farrell “Bud” Finnerty is also deceased.
Final resting place will be in South Kirtland Cemetery.
