Alice L. Johnson

Services for Alice L. (Brown) Johnson, 92, of Willoughby, will be at 7 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her home.

Born January 25, 1931 in Cleveland, she has lived in Willoughby for the past 40 years, formerly of Willowick.

She loved studying the Bible with her son, Raymond, camping, vacationing, reading, playing cards, her flowers, but most especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved the Cleveland sports teams, especially the Guardians and Cavaliers.

Mrs. Johnson was employed as a switchboard operator at the former Highland View Hospital and communications assistant at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Survivors are her children, Sharon Hanna, Raymond Johnson and Gary (Janice) Johnson; grandchildren, Krista Stephens, Matthew (Bridget) Hanna, Kari Aldridge Baggett, Megan Kovalak, Gary Johnson, Jr. and Marcus Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren and brother, George Brown. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; great-grandson, Tyler; parents, Shirley and Florence (Hill) Brown; brother, Benner Brown and sister, Shirley Hardy.
