Alice Marie Lanigan

Funeral services for Alice M. (Fahringer) Lanigan, 94, of Mentor, will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. The Reverend Daniel Schoonmaker of St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church will officiate.

The family will receive friends 4:00 -8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lanigan passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at Symphony of Mentor.

She was born October 20, 1921 in Cleveland. She was a longtime Mentor resident.

Alice was the owner of Alice’s Beauty Salon in Cleveland Heights.

She was an active member of St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include daughter, Donna (David) Gruden; son, Lee (Charlotte) Lanigan; grandchildren, Michael Lanigan and Daniel (Nicole) Lanigan and great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Lanigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lanigan in 1998 and her parents Floyd and Gladys Fahringer.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.

Family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44119.
