Alynn Jean Mahle

Services for Alynn Jean Mahle, 67, of Cleveland, will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at The Old Stone Church, 91 Public Square, Cleveland.


The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.


Alynn passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022.


Born March 1, 1955 in Brookville, PA, she has lived in Northeast Ohio for most of her life.


She was a member of The Old Stone Church and enjoyed the arts, including ballet, reading, writing, poetry and books.


Alynn was employed as an English professor at Lakeland Community College and Tri-C Community College.


Survivors are her children, Gregory (Danielle) Mackey and Rebecca (Chris) Cratty; grandchildren, Zach, Evan, Abigail, Linus, Mila, London, Mason and Gavin; mother, Rhea Jean (Seigworth) Mahle; sister, Lisa (David) Link and brother, Stephen Mahle. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families as well as her longtime companion, Karl Johnson and her cat, Finn.


She was preceded in death by her father, Walter P. Mahle, on July 23, 2001.


Final resting place will be in Miola Cemetery, near Clarion, Pennsylvania.
