Ann (Foster) Smith Services for Ann (Foster) Smith, age 83, of Mentor, will be 8 PM Friday, April 13, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Ann was born on December 12, 1928 in Kirtland and passed away peacefully Tuesday April 10, 2012.
She was an avid golfer and founded the Kirtland Women's Golf Open. She enjoyed crafting, especially crocheting and loved socializing with family and friends.
Mrs. Smith worked as a secretary/receptionist at HiCarb Corporation in Euclid for many years.
Survivors are her daughter, Karen Disinger; granddaughter, Kari (Ed) Chadd; grandson, Shawn Disinger; great grandson, Evan Chadd, sister, Jeanne Kile, sister-in-law, Fran Foster; niece and caregiver, Patti Kidder; nieces, Vicki Flynt and Kathy Ponn; nephews Steven (Renee) Kile and David (Monica) Kile and 15 great nieces and nephews. She also leaves several dear friends and her beloved cat, Cleo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick C. Smith; her mother, Charlotte Snyder; her father, Henry R. Foster and her brother, Richard H. "Dutch" Foster.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 13, at the funeral home. Private interment will be in North Kirtland Cemetery.
