Barbara A. Babcock

On Monday, August 21, 2023, we lost our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and dear friend, Barbara A. Babcock (nee: Graham), of Willoughby, Ohio.

Born October 13, 1963 in Richmond Heights, Ohio, she lived most of her life in the Lake County area, and was part of the 1981 class of Eastlake North High School.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Allyn Babcock; children, Danielle Stevenson (Eric), and Wesley (Emily Matsko); grandson, Oliver Stevenson; sisters, Theresa (Paul) Hinojosa, Midge (Bob) Hasto, and Cheryl (James) Dudley; sister in law, Beth Babcock (Greg); and many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel E. and Nancy Lou Graham (nee: Hosaflook); her sister Nancy Lee Graham, and her brother-in-law, Frank Hasto.

Prior to her career at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services and in the real estate industry, Barbara was a wedding planner, owned her own daycare service, and worked with the Cuyahoga County Head Start program to assist other day care facilities.

Barbara was a wonderful mother, who was always there when her family needed her. She was fiercely loyal, a well accomplished real estate manager, and dedicated leader. Barbara spent her life devoted to her family, friends, and career at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. She loved cooking and canning with her family, spending time with her grandson, camping at Kool Lakes Campground, and spending time in West Virginia with her family. Her love for music was beyond words. To quote her favorite, Elton John, “My gift is my song and this one’s for you”.

As Barbara never liked funeral flowers, in lieu of them, please consider a donation to one of Barb’s favorite charities: Cranio Care Bears, Lake Humane Society, or Stand Up to Cancer.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 1-4 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4 PM..
