Beatrice Romayne Corbett

February 2, 1934 — November 15, 2013

Beatrice Romayne (Kimmel) Corbett was born to Edith (Howells) Kimmel and Clifton T. Kimmel on Ground Hog Day, February 2, 1934 in Somerset County, PA. She entered into the care of our Lord November 15, 2013.

Romayne, the name she preferred, graduated from Berlin Brothers High School in Berlin, PA in 1952. The day after graduation she and her father traveled to Euclid, Ohio to establish a residence to which they would bring the rest of the family a short time later.

Romayne met and later married Robert B. Corbett September 6, 1958. The couple had two children, Robert C. Corbett born Oct. 1, 1961 and Christopher B. Corbett born exactly three years later Oct. 1, 1964. Romayne loved to travel. She and her husband visited all 50 states in the US and every Province in Canada with the exception of Newfoundland. All were visited via Airstream travel trailers of which they owned six over a period of some 40 years. The exception was of course the trip to Hawaii. In addition, the couple traveled to more than sixty foreign countries.

Romayne was initially employed at Addressograph Multigraph until the birth of her first child. She was a stay at home mother until her youngest son Chris entered middle school when she went to work as a teachers assistant and later as a school secretary in the Willoughby Eastlake School System until her retirement.

Romayne was a loving mother and wife as well as a friend to everyone she met. She loved her home in Ohio and their winter home in Florida returning to Ohio for just the summer months.

Romayne was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Betty Lou Eshelman and Cheryl Petrus. Survivors are her husband Bob, sons Rob and Chris and grandchildren Soren and Ilsa.
