Bethann L. Mason

Services for Bethann L. (Seiter) Mason, 59, of Mentor, will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Mason passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born July 25, 1955 in East Cleveland, she has lived in Mentor for the past 36 years.

She was a lifelong member of Mentor Plains United Methodist Church and loved history, traveling and boating.

She also served as an assistant curator at Lawnfield, the home of President James A. Garfield, in Mentor for many years.

Mrs. Mason was employed as a teacher’s aide in the Mentor Public Schools, Willoughby-Eastlake Schools and at Kids Choice Daycare in Mentor.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Coach Harry, who coached hockey at the Mentor Ice Arena for 13 years; her mother, Barbara Seiter, and sister-in-law, Darlene Mason, all of Mentor.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the funeral home. The Rev. Byron R. Bufkin of Mentor Plains United Methodist Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
