Betty Baker

Services for Betty L. Baker, 82, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Mrs. Baker passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Governor's Pointe in Mentor. Born October 8, 1929 in Zela, WV, she has lived in Mentor for the past 57 years. She was a member of Central Assembly of God in Mentor and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and read. Mrs. Baker was employed as a sales associate at the May Company Store at Great Lakes Mall before her retirement. She is survived by her children, Ron (Roe) Baker of Mentor, Carolyn (Joseph) Skof of Willoughby and Jeff (Wendy) Baker of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Matt, Melissa, Ashley, Katelyn, Austin and Joselynn; great granddaughter, Madison and sisters, Norma (Strawn) Brown of Zela, WV and Joyce (Dick) Musser of Ashtabula. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Her husband, Ronald Glen Baker passed away March 27, 2003. Her parents, Ernest and Cora (Painter) Harmon are also deceased. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the funeral home. The Rev. Charles G. Pahlman of Central Assembly of God will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
