Betty J. Erskine

Memorial services for Betty J. Erskine, 92, of Willoughby, will be at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby. The Rev. Donald R. Perks will officiate at the service.

Mrs. Erskine passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at Kobacker House in Columbus.

Born January 22, 1922 in Cleveland, she had lived in Willoughby for more than 60 years.

She was a member of Willoughby United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby for more than 35 years. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Survivors are her daughter, Peggy (John) Blevins of Columbus and son, Scott (Mary Beth) Erskine of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Silbermann, Jeffrey (Heather) Blevins, Thomas Erskine and Greg Erskine and great grandchildren, Elliott Silbermann and Lincoln Blevins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert M. Erskine on May 10, 1999. Her parents, Elmer and Edna (Zirke) Blank and brother, Jack Blank are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Private family interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
