Betty Jane (Roden) Fabec

Services for Betty Jane (Roden) Fabec, 92, of Eastlake, will be at 11 AM on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Shoregate United Methodist Church, 30500 Bayridge Boulevard, Willowick.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Monday, August 17, 2026 at the Church.

Mrs. Fabec passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at her home.

Born December 19, 1932 in Cleveland, she has lived in Eastlake for the past 54 years.

She was a member of Shoregate United Methodist Church in Willowick, where she was involved in many different areas of ministry, the Forever Young Tappers, a local dance troupe that visited nursing homes and senior centers and appeared on “Kickin’ It With Kenny” on Fox 8.

Mrs. Fabec was employed as a medical secretary at the former Huron Road Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Survivors are sons, Richard Roden, Jr. and Louis (Sõle) Roden; grandchildren, Bettina Marie (Adam) Saylor; Ryan Roden, Tyler Roden and Sõle’s family; great-grandchildren, Emmanuel and Scarlett.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard H. Roden, Sr. on August 22, 1997. Her parents, Luigi and Francheska (Minnillo) Spadaro and five siblings are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens following the service.
