Bonnie Louella (nee:Bolton)(Gilliam) Covic, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023 in her home in Tucson, Arizona.
She was born March 5,1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to Blaine and Norma Bolton.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Robin, as well as her daughter, Amy (Scott) Dillabaugh, her son, Bradley (Erica) Gilliam and stepson, Clinton (Cindy) Covic. In addition, she is survived by grand-children Landon (Makayla) Dillabaugh, Payton Dillabaugh, Gabriel Gilliam, Isaiah Gilliam, and Courtney Axford .
She graduated from Mentor High School in 1966. After graduation she moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee where she met and married her first husband, William Gilliam. They moved back to Mentor, Ohio in 1978, where Bill passed in 1995.
Bonnie was very active in her church in the choir as well as being the wedding coordinator and missionaries coordinator for ten years. Upon moving to Tucson she was a driving force in her church’s Seniors Group for two decades.
She was a semi-professional wedding cake maker and decorator. In addition to loving to travel, Bonnie was also an avid cross-stitcher. What’s more, she was a great Gone With The Wind follower and enjoyed collecting a multitude of movie memorabilia.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10 AM at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, Ohio, where funeral services will begin 11 AM.
Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Monday.
