Brian Paul Mcconnell

Brian P. McConnell, 54, of Mentor, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born April 15, 1964.

Brian was a music teacher in the Warrensville Heights School System. He graduated from Grove City College and studied at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He was President-Elect at North Eastern Ohio Education Association and former Board of Director for the National Education Association. He was a Mentor High School graduate.

He really enjoyed coordinating plays and musicals for the children.

Survivors include his cousins, Wanda (Jerry) Knauff and Floyd (Susan) McConnell and companion, Sheila Matthews. He also leaves behind many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marilyn (Harris) McConnell.

Family will receive friends 2-6 PM Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094.

Private burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania.
