Bruce C. Buchan

Services for Bruce C. Buchan, 84, of Willoughby Hills, will be at 11 AM on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the funeral home.

Mr. Buchan passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at his home.

Born August 5, 1930 in Euclid, he has lived in Willoughby Hills for the past 56 years.

He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, class of 1954 with a business administration degree. Mr. Buchan was employed as an insurance underwriter, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, antiquing and attending auctions.

Survivors are his wife of 60 years, JoAnn (Parkins) Buchan; daughter, Sheryl (Bryce) Tischer of Perry and sons, Robert (Cheryl) Buchan of Kirtland and Brian (Susan) Buchan of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Makayla, Angela, Kristan, Nicholas, Taylor and Andra and great-grandchildren, Brooke and Markus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen (Carroll) Buchan and brother, Richard Buchan.

The Rev. David Hackney of Willo-Hill Baptist Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Acacia Park Cemetery in Mayfield Heights following the service on Friday.
