Carl D. Burkholder

Services for Carl D. Burkholder, 68, of Eastlake, will be at 8 PM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Burkholder passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home.

Born June 10, 1953 in Painesville, he was a lifetime Lake County resident.

He was a co-founder and longtime president of the Chubby Rascals Car Club and coached baseball in the Mentor McMinn League, where one of his teams earned the first ever tournament championship back to the league. He also played Santa Claus for many families and day care centers for more than 40 years.

Mr. Burkholder was employed as a CNC operator at Trio Precisioneering in Eastlake. He retired after 25 years of service.

Survivors are his son, Stephen; grandchildren, Kadyn and Kamryn Burkholder; sisters, Val (Moe) Helmick and Kathy (Harry) Kerstens; nephew, Brian Helmick and niece, Julie Helmick.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Glenna Burkholder and parents, Karlton and Dorothy.
