Carl Robert Van Gorder

Graveside service for Carl R. Van Gorder age 87 of Mentor will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Acacia Masonic Memorial Park Cemetery, 1880 Som Center Road, Mayfield Heights. (Please meet at the gate).
Mr. Van Gorder passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Willoughby. He was born May 2, 1928 in Cleveland. He was an U.S. Coast Guard Veteran. Member of the Masonic Lodge in Mentor where he was active in Grotto and many other activities. He worked for Finast Food in Bedford. He enjoyed camping, travelling, and spending time with his grandsons.
Survivors include his son David (Debbie) Van Gorder of Ashtabula; daughter Diane Bumback of South Euclid; grandsons Chris and Alex Van Gorder and William and Robbie Bumback; sister Carol Jean Colburn of Streetsboro; many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah A. Van Gorder on October 18, 2014; parents Carl and Gladys Van Gorder.
