Carol A. Cain

Services for Carol A. Cain, 67, of Willoughby Hills, will be at 7 PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Monday, prior to the service.

Social distancing and the use of masks are encouraged by the family.

Carol passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

Born January 25, 1954 in East Cleveland, she was a lifelong Lake County resident.

Carol was a wonderful, kind, loving and most generous soul; if you were in need, she was always there for you.

She was a social butterfly, who loved camping, bowling, BINGO and picnics with family and friends, many of which she coordinated. She was a proud North High School graduate, class of 1972 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2300 in Willoughby.

After working factory jobs at Tarpley and Mining Tools, Carol attended Auburn Career Center, which led her to a job at Lake County Job and Family Services as a support officer. She retired in 2019 after 27 years of service.

Survivors are her sisters, Crystal Mars and Patty (Bob) Garlock; brothers, Bill and John Cain; nephews, Jared, Jack, and Daniel Cain, Robert and Mike Garlock; nieces, Carrie Wodzisz, Jenny Donahue, Katy Garlock, Katie and Jenn Cain, Michelle Spena, and Shelly Wagner; and aunt, Judi Cain and their families. She also leaves her special friends, Kim Balog and Harry Wagner and many others that she also considered family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine in 1987. Her parents, Jack and Helen (Rogers) Cain; sister-in-law, Kathleen Cain, brother-in-law, Phil Mars, nephew, Jordan Cain and niece, Carolyn Cain are also deceased.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.

Final resting place will be in Willoughby Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to a favorite charity in Carol’s memory.
