Carol J. Dams

Services for Carol J. (Helm) Dams, 88, of Mentor, will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The chaplain of Great Lakes Caring Hospice will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dams passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Chardon Healthcare Center.

Born September 10, 1929 in Cleveland, she lived in Mentor for more than 45 years.

Mrs. Dams was a homemaker most of her life although enjoyed her part-time job at Burger King later in life and interacting with the employees and customers. She loved summer camping and was a devoted Cleveland Indians fan. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.
Survivors are her children, Jon (Judy) Miducki, Michelle Znidarsic, Renee (Doug) Yutzy and Doug (Sue) Dams; grandchildren, Amie (Mark), Trevor, Trent, Linsey (Garrett), Kelli, Ken, Bailey, Brooke, Blake Briana, Rachael,Justine and 8 great-grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her husband, George “Gil” Dams, on September 14, 2009, her children, David Miducki and Lori Miducki; parents, Louis and Sylvia Helm and sisters, Winifred and Faye (Susan).

Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery following the service on Tuesday.
