Carol M. Krause

Carol M. (Birchmeier) Krause, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 07, 2022.
Born October 17, 1932 in Cleveland, she lived in Willoughby for 57 years.
Carol was a librarian with the Cleveland and Willoughby Library systems and had a lifelong love of reading. She left that career to raise her children and was very active in the Browning PTA and the Willoughby High School Band Boosters. She enjoyed babysitting her seven grandchildren, attending their sporting events, reading them books, and buying them wonderful gifts from mail order catalogs.
Survivors include her children, Peter (Beth) Krause and Mary (Brad) Bowers; grandchildren, Allen “A.J.” (Sydnie), Kyle, Briggs, Andrew, Maggie, and Ethan Krause and Alison Wright; great-granddaughter, Elsie Krause. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Debbie Krause.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Krause in 2020 and her son, John Krause in 2015. Her parents, Carl and Blanche (Lewton) Birchmeier are also deceased.
A Celebration of Life for both Carol and Allen will be held at a later date.
Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery.
