Carol A. Mowbray

A gathering to celebrate the life of Carol A. (Armstrong) Mowbray, 88, formerly of Mentor, will be from 3-5 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Mowbray passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Copley Health Center in Copley

Born March 5, 1929 in Hinckley, she was a longtime Lake County resident.

She attended Willoughby United Methodist Church, where she worked in the Church office for several years and later served as a secretary to the District Superintendent.

Survivors are her children, Sarah (Doug) Toman, Samuel (Evelyn) Mowbray and John Mowbray (and his fiancée, Susan Mion) and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Byron T. Mowbray on January 21, 2009. Her parents, Samuel and Ruby (Fitch) Armstrong and are also deceased.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to a favorite charity.
