Casandra B. Corlew, age 76, of Mentor, the matriarch of the Corlew family, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 30, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to Marvin and Wanda Perkins. She was a 1961 graduate of Wickliffe High School.
The polish princess, nicknamed by Jon, her loving husband of 56 years, enjoyed motorcycle rides, crocheting, laughing and partying with family and friends.
Cass was a loving mother to Michelle (Chris) DePetris “ her favorite”, and Melissa (Brian) Hughes “her cross to bear”, the one that made her laugh the hardest. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Spenser (Stephanie) Hughes and Sutten Hughes.
Cassie will be joining her grandson, Shane Hughes (one of the loves of her life) at the pearly gates, along with her mother, father and multiple family and friends.
Casandra retired as an Escrow Officer for multiple banks and title companies.
She didn’t want anything conventional in terms of a service. The family will have a private ceremony at a later date with a Celebration of Life, and to make toasts in her honor.
