Catherine C. Mifflin

Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine Cecelia “Katie” Mifflin, 97, of Willoughby, will be at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 29840 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe. The Rev. Fr. John J. Sullivan will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Mifflin passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services in Willoughby of natural causes.

Born July 23, 1918 in Barbour County, WV, a daughter of Frank and Anna (Kailus) Malone, she was a lifelong Willoughby resident.

She married Wilmer O’Neil Mifflin on July 30, 1938 and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1967 after 29 years of marriage.

She enjoyed traveling and taking care of family and friends.

Mrs. Mifflin retired from the Reliance Electric Company in 1983.

Survivors are her nieces and nephews and their families, and lifelong friends, Helen Jacobs, Betty Pratt and Mr. and Mrs. Sid Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, above; her sisters, Constance Billings, Anna Gerbis, Jean Dines and brothers, Anthony, John and Frank Melunas and Charles, William and Daniel Malone.

Private family interment was held at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
