Catherine M. Smith

A celebration of life reception for Catherine M. “Mickey” Kostura) Smith, 88, of Mentor, will be at 2 PM on Sunday, August 20, 2017 in the multi-purpose room at The Kemper House, 407 Golfview Lane, Highland Heights.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 4 PM.

Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at The Kemper House.

Born April 13, 1929 in Cleveland, she lived in Mentor for the past 50 years.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, baking, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Survivors are her daughter, Margaret M. Casey; grandchildren, Christopher A. Casey, Jr. and Catherine Casey. She also leaves dear friend, Judy Deaner, and many siblings and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Marshall R. Smith on April 14, 2000, and her son, Robert M. Smith, on June 14, 2017. Her parents, Joseph and Margaret (Barna) Kostura are also deceased.
