Cecil H. Simmons

Cecil Harvey Simmons, 93, of Eastlake, passed away October 2, 2023 at Menorah Park in Beachwood. He was born September 3, 1930 in Big Springs, West Virginia.

Cecil was the beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Marie (Quigg) Simmons. They were married on October 20, 1951.

Cecil retired from Motch & Merryweather in Euclid. He was a machine operator and truck driver. He was also the union steward for many years. Cecil enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard with flowers, grilling, and all animals. He truly loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Sharan Marie (Tim) Clark and his son, David Simmons; grandchildren, Christine (John) DeCorte and Christopher (Tina) Clark; four great-grandsons, Michael, Nicholas, Anthony, and Frankie Clark.

Cecil was the third youngest of fifteen children born to the late Willie and Ina (Richards) Simmons. His siblings, Erma Lucille Kline, Ruby Geneva Myer, Sara Melvina Cool, Pearl Mae Heiney, Nettie and Mettie Simmons, Ola Elodine Simmons, Ernestine Simmons, Sandra Louise Spence, Earl W. Simmons, Bearl Woodrow Simmons, Henry B. Simmons, Eugene G. Simmons, and Orville Simmons are also deceased.

Private family services will be held.
