Charles R. Bailey

Services for Charles R. Bailey, 76, of Willoughby, will be at 1 PM on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Larry A. Pozza of ShadeTree Community Church, will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM – 1 PM on Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Bailey passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born October 24, 1942 in Dennison, he was a longtime Lake County resident.

He was a United States Army veteran and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Mr. Bailey was employed as a machinist at the former D & M Machine shop in Willoughby for 23 years.

Survivors are his children, Richard (Elena) Bailey, Lisa (Tim) Dodge and Charles R. “Chuck” Bailey, Jr. and their mother, Beverly Sturm; grandchildren, Charles R. Bailey III, Chad Bailey, Mindy Bailey-Lambert, Shawn Bailey, Karen Brooks, Addison Bailey, Jessica Bailey, Alex Blair and Owen Bailey and several great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, William Bailey, Jr., and sister, Virginia (Vern) Miles and many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded by his parents, William and Mary (Dinger) Bailey; and sisters, Louise Ditto and Hazel Banker.
