Charles Paul Demore, 81, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away on July 10, 2024 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born March 14, 1943 to the late Anthony Demore and Clara DiSanto in Cleveland, Ohio. He was recently diagnosed with Mesothelioma.
Chuck worked for many years as an Upholsterer with his wife, Carol at their first business, Chinnici Upholstering. They later founded Charley’s Loft in Mentor, Ohio transitioning to custom window treatments and complete interior design services. Later in life Chuck worked for the News Herald where he enjoyed restocking newspaper bins throughout the city in the wee hours of the morning with his loving dog Lili.
Chuck was an avid supporter of all Cleveland sports and loved to watch them play, while enjoying a few chocolates from his Whitman sampler box. He also enjoyed the stock market. One of his favorite days of the week was Friday pizza night’s with his family.
Chuck was a loving, kind, humble husband, father, and grandfather and his smile and quiet demeanor will be forever missed.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Carol Ann Demore (Chinnici); his children Susan (Leslie) Gibson (Demore) and Debora (Matthew) Quirk (Demore); his grandchildren Charles (Meghan) Gibson, Douglas Gibson, and Michaela (Christopher) May (Quirk); many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Demore.
Church Services will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, Ohio on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10:00 A.M.
Columbarium services to follow at Mentor Municipal Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor, Ohio.
