Charles D. Gery

Services for Master Sergeant Charles D.” Dan” Gery Jr. (Retired) age 72 of Eastlake will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

Mr. Gery passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Born August 21, 1941 in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Gery has resided in Lake County for the last 45 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family.

Mr. Gery was a NCOIC of Cleveland Area Recruiting and Retention and a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran.

Survivors include his wife Mary “Mitzie” of 49 years; Daughter Mi Young (Greg) Sellers of Willowick; son Charles D. (Tina) Gery III of Eastlake; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister Rev. Harriet L. Rieck of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles D. Gery Sr. and Mary H. Craft Larssan

Family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Wednesday before the service.
