Charles P. "Chuck" Lago

Funeral service for Charles P. “Chuck” Lago, 80, of Eastlake, will be at 10 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Chuck passed away November 5, 2025 in Cleveland. He was born April 18, 1945 in Painesville.

Chuck was a 1964 North High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the former Willoughby Lodge #302 F. & A.M. which is now Temple Lodge #28.

He retired in 2004 from Sherman Industries in Willoughby. He enjoyed model trains and cars, camping and being outdoors. He truly loved being with his family and dogs. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, loving the Cleveland Guardians. He also was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lorena M. (Myers) Lago; children, Lora Doytek, Charles D. Lago, Lisa (Carl) DiRusso, and Chellie Lago; grandchildren, Nicole Shelley, Dean (Reannan) Shelley, Samantha (fiancé Joseph Hojzan) DiRusso, Carl (Katrina) DiRusso, Randy Lago, Chelsea (Nick) Aquila, and Gabrielle “Peanut” Lago; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley “Sue” Thompson. He leaves behind nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian (Burbee) Lago; grandsons, Kirk and Robert Shelley; son-in-law, John Doytek; siblings, James Lago, Helen Reichard, and John Lago.

Final resting place will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
