Charlotte Elizabeth Conger passed away Friday, January 22, 2021, at the age of 100 years. Charlotte died peacefully at her home in Willoughby, Ohio, surrounded by her nieces.
Charlotte was born December 4, 1920, in Willoughby, Ohio, to William R. Jenkins of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and Amy R. Sprague of Willoughby, Ohio. Mrs. Conger was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, John William Conger, her sons Daniel Benjamin Rowles (Nona) and Frank Rowles and her daughter, Connie Anne Cimas (Rowles).
A lifelong resident of Lake County, Ohio, Charlotte was one of ten children including four boys (Alfred, Earl, Robert and Charles) and six girls (Iva, Virginia, Nora, Genovieve and Aime). Charlotte enjoyed a long life filled with many beautiful nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great, great grandchildren. Lovingly referred to as “Aunt Charlotte” or “Gram” she will be remembered by many.
Charlotte most appreciated travelling with her husband John, spending time with family, reading, crocheting and playing the organ. She had a knack for music and could play most anything by ear. Sharp witted and capable, Charlotte remained independent, managing her own affairs until very recently. Charlotte was a reader of the Word and a follower of Christ.
