Graveside services and interment for Chester Gray Waddell, 90, of Willoughby, will be at 2 PM today, May 12, 2015 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
Mr. Waddell passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 in Willoughby.
Born October 27,1924 in Celina, TN, he lived in Painesville and Mentor before moving to Willoughby 33 years ago, when he and his wife became the building managers at the Riverside House Apartments, a job he loved for 20 years.
He was a World War II United States Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, camping, landscaping and gardening.
Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Helen Marie (Holt); sons, Perry E. “Eddie” Waddell of Willoughby, Donald G. (Linda) Waddell of Painesville and James A. Waddell of Orwell; two grandsons, three granddaughters, three great grandsons, three great-granddaughters and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mattie Pearl Waddell; two brothers and three sisters.
There will be no calling hours. The Rev. James R. Porostosky of Lakeshore Assembly of God in Mentor will officiate at the service.
