Christiana Lynn Swires-Maine

Christiana L. Swires-Maine of Willoughby, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 16, 2020, after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).

She was born February 23, 1969 in State College, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Aurora, Ohio and later made her home in Willoughby.

Chris graduated from The University of Akron and worked at Progressive Insurance Co. for 23 years, where she had many friends.

She enjoyed beach vacations, gardening, exercise, concerts, and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her kindness and love for life.

Survivors include her mother, Joan (Joseph) Racco; brothers, Brian (Jennie) Swires and Greg (Jackie) Swires; nephews, Lucas and Carter Swires.

She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.

Chris joins her father, John Swires and former husband, Art Maine in eternal rest.

Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. Social distancing protocols will be enforced and masks are required.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the ALS Association, www.als.org.
