Christopher Shane Branthoover

Christopher Shane Branthoover, 56, of Willowick, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at his home in Willowick, surrounded by his family.

Born March 8, 1965 in Cleveland, he was a longtime Lake County resident.

Chris loved all sports, especially the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers. He also loved flowers, gardening and had a talented green thumb. He set a record running cross country at Kirtland High School, which still stands today.

He was employed in construction with Local 310.
Survivors are his sons, Daniel A. Branthoover and Matthew E. Branthoover; partner, Kim New; father, John Wayne Branthoover; brother, Jeff (Jennifer) Branthoover; sister, Casi Elizabeth and nephew, David Branthoover.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marcia (Frazer) Branthoover in 2018.


A celebration of Chris' life will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 4-8 PM at the Diamondback Bar and Grill, 34471 Vine Street, Eastlake. The family looks forward to hearing your stories and memories of Chris at this casual gathering.
