Clarence Edward “Ed” Eckert passed away peacefully on October 27th. He was born October 18, 1938, in Alliance, OH to the late Clarence F. Eckert and Jessie M. Eckert (Dunham). He grew up in Euclid, OH and worked as a mechanical engineer for Euclid, Inc. for over 30 years. He retired at age 53 and worked on his own as an Expert Witness for many years after. He lived in Willoughby Hills for 46 years with his wife Patricia (Northway) and children Bethany (Rob) and Benjamin (Colleen). He had one granddaughter, Jordan who he loved with all his heart, and two great-grandchildren Aiden and Carmen who were the apple of his eye. Ed was a very kindhearted, caring and a gentle man who loved his family and his church. He was a member of Old South Church in Kirtland for 50 years, where he enjoyed teaching Christian Education. Ed also enjoyed running and was a world traveler. His final resting place will be in Whitehaven Cemetery in Mayfield Village. A memorial service for Ed will be held at a later date.
