Clifford T. Conomy

Memorial services for Clifford T. Conomy, 88, of Willoughby, will be at 1:30 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby. The Rev. Donald R. Perks will officiate at the service.

Mr. Conomy passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services.

Born November 5, 1926 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby for the past 67 years.

He was a United States Merchant Marine during World War II and also served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of Willoughby United Methodist Church and a former member of Fairport Harbor Yacht Club. He enjoyed boating, golfing, fishing, woodworking and spending time with friends.

Mr. Conomy was employed as a systems analyst at the former Republic Steel (later LTV Steel) in Cleveland. He retired in 1989.

Survivors are his daughter, Cynthia Conomy of Willoughby and grand puppies, Heather, Aurora and Jack. He also leaves his dear friend, Janet Whitehorn of Kirtland.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Laura M. Conomy on February 24, 2003. His parents, Clifford and Mildred (Kuckenmeister) Conomy, brother, Ronald Conomy and sisters, Catherine Alexy and Carol Stuper are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in the Willoughby United Methodist Church columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110-2602.
