Danene J. Nicholson

Services for Danene J. “Dani” (Davies) Nicholson, 76, of Kirtland, will be at 7 PM on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nicholson passed away Monday, January 25, 2016.

Born February 15, 1939 in Cleveland, she was a lifelong Kirtland resident.

She was a graduate of Kirtland Schools, a member of the Kirtland Community of Christ and the Kirtland Senior Center where she enjoyed meeting friends for lunch and drove for Meals-on-Wheels.

Mrs. Nicholson was a retired mailman for the Chagrin Falls Post Office.

Survivors are her brother, William R. “Wid” Davies of Kirtland; daughters, Cindy Square of Painesville and Melonie (Mel) Lee of Kirtland; grandchildren, Curtis Square, Ryan (Jennifer) Square, Rebecca (Erika) Nicholson and Lauren Lee and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Wayne, Skyler, Owen and Henry Square.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in 1982 and her parents, William E. “Bill” and Viola Davies.
