Daniel H. Pfeifle

Daniel Howard Pfeifle, age 63, of Mentor, Ohio went home to heaven on June 29, 2021. He was born on March 2, 1958 in Jackson, Michigan to Jack Quinton and Dorothy (Peckens) Pfeifle.

Experiencing God’s provision throughout his life, Dan was ever mindful that this world was not his true home. When Dan received his pancreatic cancer diagnosis on June 3, 2021, he and his wife, Karen, found assurance and joy by studying the book Heaven by Randy Alcorn. Dan could not wait to see Jesus, face-to-face.

Dan served in the United States Navy aboard the nuclear submarine USS Ulysses S. Grant. Following his honorable discharge in 1982, he settled in Ohio and worked at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.

After he and Karen were married in 1988, Dan began his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology at Lakeland Community College and later transferred to Cleveland State University. He graduated 10 years later after juggling a full-time job, taking night classes, and loving his growing family. He was employed as a tech support specialist at Deloitte then worked as an IT project manager for financial institutions, hospital systems, and manufacturing corporations.

Dan was a jokester with a boisterous laugh and a strong hug. His greatest joy was building relationships with people in his family, workplace, community, and church as a friend, deacon, children’s ministry leader, biblical counselor, and computer repairman.

Dan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen (Krouse) Pfeifle, his daughters Jessica Duckworth (Stephen), Allison Woodard (Steven), and Lydia Pfeifle. He also loved being “Grandalf” to 4 grandchildren: Ryan, Chloe, Rosalyn, and Baby Woodard (due this fall).

All services for Dan will be held at Tri-County Bible Church – 2946 Burns Road. Madison, Ohio. The family will receive visitors from 3-6 PM on Monday, July 5 and from 9-10 AM on Tuesday, July 6, prior to the funeral service at 10:00 AM.
