Darrell G. Haskins

Darrell G. “Coach” Haskins, 72, of Mentor, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026. He was born March 5, 1954 in East Cleveland.

Darrell was a 1972 graduate of Willoughby South High School and attended Kent State University. He coached girl’s AAU, high school, and summer camp basketball. He loved all Cleveland sports, The Three Stooges, and music. Many good times were spent on area BB courts and softball diamonds.

He was employed by Food For Thought.

Survivors include his brother, Don (Anna) Haskins; sister, Darla (David) Haskins-Belle; niece, Kelly Haskins; nephew, Sean (Jeannie) Dockery and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Claudia (Pollock) Haskins and nephew, Brian Dockery.

Private burial will be held in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
