Services for David Lee Abercrombie, Jr., 55, of Perry, will be at 11 AM on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Mr. Abercrombie passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
Born December 26, 1957 in Euclid, he has lived in Perry for the past 36 years.
He was an avid sportsman, loved the outdoors, enjoyed playing the drums, and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He had also earned his brown belt in Kempo Karate.
Dave was employed as a machinist at Pentair in Chardon. He was also a licensed practical nurse, having earned his degree at Auburn Vocational School in Concord Township.
Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Linda (Denson) Abercrombie; daughters, Jennifer (Solomon) Mosby of Willoughby and Danielle (Samantha) Abercrombie (fiancé, Jason Kral) of Wickliffe; grandsons, Jayden Pitrone and Anthony Mosby; father, David L. Abercrombie, Sr. of Mentor; siblings, Phyllis Abercrombie of Georgia, Clark (Karen) Abercrombie and Charolette (Chris, Sr.) Dingley, both of Painesville. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katie (Hickey) Abercrombie on July 7, 1993; his step-mother, Mildred (Denson) Abercrombie on March 29, 2013 and his brother, Michael Abercrombie in 2002.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the funeral home. The Rev. Brent Paulson of the Vineyard Community Church in Wickliffe will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Perry Cemetery.
