David F. Davis

Services for David F. Davis, 48, of Richmond Heights, will be 11 AM on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Friends Church, 2846 SOM Center Road, Willoughby Hills.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Church.

David passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2015.

Born July 22, 1966 in Cleveland, he was a longtime Kirtland resident and has lived in Richmond Heights for the past 13 years.

He was a graduate of Kirtland High School, class of 1985, and a member of Friends Church, Willoughby Hills. David had a strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and lived out his faith by serving the Church, where he was loved and adored by many. He was well known for his knowledge of the Bible. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Beatles fan, enjoyed hiking, and studying the history of the Western Reserve.

David was most recently employed at Transmaxx in Solon and at the former Gahr Machine Rebuilding Company in Euclid for 13 years. He was also a part-time custodian at Friends Church, Willoughby Hills for 20 years.

Survivors are his mother, Elaine (Ewald) Davis of Willoughby; sisters, Dianna (Gary) Misich of Madison and JoAnne (Steve) Lowe of Beloit; brothers, Jim (Tami) Davis of Kirtland and Dale Davis of Maricopa, AZ. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Meridith, Elizabeth (Garrick), Allison, Hannah, Austin, Jonathan, Jordan, Jeremy, Julian and Michael.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Hughes Davis in 1981.

Final resting place will be in South Kirtland Cemetery following the service on Friday.
