David L. Farrington

Services for David L. Farrington, M.D., 91, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 37728 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM on Friday, at the Church.

Dr. Farrington passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home.

Born October 7, 1930 in Lowell, MA, he lived in Willoughby for more than 50 years.

He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willoughby. He was a past-president of the Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists and practiced medicine in Lake County at Lake West Hospital his entire career. He was an avid world traveler, having visited every continent, including Antarctica.

Survivors are his wife of 34 years, Elaine Farrington; children, David (Beth) Farrington, Beth (Mike) Bixel and Brian (Leigh) Farrington; grandchildren, Ashley (Cullen) Harris, Ellen (Joe) Selva, Chelsea (Joe) Haglage, Michael Bixel, Colin Farrington and Anna Farrington; great-grandsons, Keegan, Beckett, Jensen and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol in 1985. His parents, Linwood and Maroe (Pratt) Farrington and sister, Dorcas Yost are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.
