Funeral services for David Kyle Gum, 63, of Mentor, will be at 3 PM Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094.
Family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Saturday, prior to services at the funeral home.
David Kyle passed away peacefully, October 17, 2021 at Hillcrest Hospital. Born December 14, 1957 in East Cleveland, he has lived the past 34 years in Mentor.
David Kyle was a retired IBEW Local 38 Electrician for 26 years, retiring in 2018.
He enjoyed classic cars, rock n’ roll music, and travelling. Most of all, he enjoyed being a husband, father and grandfather. He was known in the neighborhood as “the most helpful neighbor.”
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Susan A. (Morgan) Gum; children, Steven (Allison) Gum and Lauren (Brandon) Arbogast; grandchildren, Morgan, Clara, Isaac, Hudson, Grace, and Joel; brothers, Chuck (Bonnie) Gum and Bill George (Rita) Gum; sisters-in-law, Pat (Clay) Laughinghouse and Cheryl (Tom) Purtle. He is survived by nephews, cousins, aunts, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Gum and Jean (Given) Gum Goode.
