David A. Helmick

Services for David A. Helmick, 53, formerly of Mentor, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Bob Meredith of The Christian LIFE Church will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

David passed away December 11, 2019.

Born March 10, 1966 in East Cleveland, he was a longtime Mentor resident.

David was a loving father, soon to be grandfather, brother, and son; a lover of Cleveland sports, especially the Browns and the Indians, and enjoyed spending time near the lake, riding his bicycle and walking his dogs. His family will miss his sense of humor, goofiness and caring heart. He will be deeply missed by all those that love him.

David was in the mortgage business.

Survivors are his children, Allison (William) Dipre and Mark Helmick; parents, Arleigh and Janet Helmick and brothers, Paul Helmick and Steve (Lisa) Helmick. He also leaves his nephew, Stephen Helmick; niece, Sarah Helmick; former wife, Jill Klein and his dogs, Rose and Daisy.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township, following the service on Wednesday.
