David L. Henning

Celebration of Life for David L. Henning Jr., 63, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM Friday, October 22, 2021 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 32410 Willowick Dr., Willowick, OH 44095.

Family will receive friends 9-11 AM Friday, prior to the service at the church.

David passed away October 15, 2021 in Concord Twp. Born May 8, 1958 in Cleveland, he has lived in Mentor for the past 35 years.

David was a dispatcher for Mayfield Village Police and Fire Department for 19 years.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Willowick and was a man of strong faith, that sustained him through the challenges he faced in life. He was an avid Ohio sports fan and enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling. David accomplished activities other people with his limited mobility could only dream of.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon A. (McClendon) Henning; father, David L. Henning Sr.; sister, Debbie (Robert) South; brother, Darrin Henning; niece, Amanda (Jon) Kruse; nephew, Alex Henning; great-nephew, Malachi Kruse.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene J. (Bush) Henning and his canine companions, Bear, Charlie, and Belker.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
