Dennis M. Findlay, 65, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 27, 2021 at his home in Mentor.

He was born June 12, 1955 and lived most of his life in the Mentor area except for a few years that he lived in Colorado and Florida.

Dennis loved to ride motorcycles, his many cats, and snakes along with tinkering on things that needed fixed.

Prior to a severe motorcycle accident, Dennis was a master carpenter that worked in the early building phase of Perry Nuclear Plant and alongside the ironworkers, placed the last beam at the top of the Sohio Building in Cleveland.

In his own way, family meant a lot to Dennis never missing a phone call on a birthday or holiday and he enjoyed living in the small community of Avenue Woods and their many picnics.

He is survived by his sister, Diana (Nick) Miller, brother, Darrell (Mary Ellen) Findlay, stepfather, James Lodge, stepmother and Beverly Findlay. He was also the uncle of two nieces, one nephew and great-uncle of two nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly J. Lodge and William G. Findlay.

A private inurnment will be held during later during the summer.
