Services for Diane M. (Ackroyd) Perko, 58, of Perry, will be at 7 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Dr. Russell E. Martin will officiate at the service.
The family will receive friends from 2-7 PM on Wednesday, prior to the service.
Diane, known as Dee to family and friends, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at her vacation home near Pymatuning Lake, Pennsylvania.
Born July 29, 1956 in Willoughby, she was a lifelong Willoughby resident before moving to Perry after her marriage in 1987.
Diane was a graduate of Willoughby South High School, Class of 1974. She loved spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, gardening, golfing, fishing and photography. Dee will be missed by all who had the opportunity to share in her zest for life and love of family. Her infectious laugh and smile will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Dee has been employed as a customer service representative at Avery-Dennison Corporation for the past 40 years.
Survivors are her husband of 27 years, David J. Perko, whom she married on October 17, 1987; son, Benjamin Perko; sister, Debbie (Rudy) Golop of Cleveland and brothers, David (Linda) Ackroyd of Willoughby and Daniel (Colette) Ackroyd of Montville Township. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Creighton and Edna Mae (Davidson) Ackroyd.
A private family burial will be at South Kirtland Cemetery, to be held at a later date.
